First Time Visit?
For us, Sunday is the best day of the week. The entire church gathers, Jesus is at the center, and every element of the meeting points to who He is and what He has done for us. We’d love to have you join us on Sunday at our 10a service! Here’s what you’ll find:
People just like you. We live and work in the northwest Phoenix area, just like you!
Friendly people. Every church says that they’re friendly, but it’s true at Grace Church. You’ll meet a lot of people who genuinely care about who you are and where you coming from. Don’t worry – there won’t be a quiz to remember names!
A comfortable atmosphere. Some people like to dress up for church and others don’t. Feel free to wear what’s comfortable for you, and you’ll fit right in. We have some refreshments before church and lots of people hang around after the meeting just because they like to be together!?
Music, prayer, and the Bible. Our whole meeting is a worship service. You can expect a blend of historic hymns and contemporary songs. Our songs and style may vary, but the common thread in them all is truth! We take time each service to pray, whether its led by a pastor, leader, or even inviting the congregation to pray for each other. Finally, there is lots of Bible during the service. We love God’s Word and take time to read it, teach it, and proclaim it every Sunday!
When You Arrive
If you’re new to Grace Church and plan to visit on a Sunday, here are some practical things you’ll want to know:
The Sunday morning meeting begins at 10am at Copper Creek Elementary School. It’s easy to find the school (71st Ave – North of Deer Valley) - just park and look for the red signs to direct you. There will be greeters outside to help you find your way.
When you arrive, you can check your children into a Children’s Ministry class (Ages 1-5 starting at 9:45a) or you can make your way to the hospitality table and enjoy some morning refreshments. There’s an information table next to it where you can learn about the church and how to get connected. Feel free to take anything on the table – it’s for you!
Our meeting lasts about 1 ½ hours, ending around 11:40, give or take a few. We typically preach through the Bible, section by section and book by book. For a sample sermon, go to our media library and take a listen. We also try to keep our website current with what the upcoming Sunday is going to specifically look like. If you’re interested, check it out.
Afterwards, there’s always time for questions and prayer. Or maybe you’d like to browse the resource table for a new book or CD. Either is great!
The best way to get to know us is just to stick around for a bit, visit a mid-week community group, and learn about our mission together as a church. Before you know it, you’ll be an old-timer!
