Advent

Throughout His ministry, Jesus spoke with confidence about what the Father would do, and even before the cross He pointed forward to His resurrection, trusting fully in God’s plan. John tells us that the disciples did not understand His words at the time, but after Jesus rose from the dead, they remembered what He had said and believed, and what felt confusing in the moment became clear through God’s faithfulness.

Advent gives us space to look back and see that God keeps His promises with care and purpose, and it teaches us to trust Him in the present, knowing that the same faithfulness that raised Jesus from the grave continues to hold our lives together.

Scripture tells us that God raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor, above every power and authority, showing us that Jesus reigns as King even now. His resurrection revealed His authority, and His reign brings steady hope in a world that often feels uncertain.

As we continue through Advent, we remember that the child born in humility is the same King who rules with wisdom and strength, guiding history toward the future God has promised.

Because God raised Jesus from the dead, Scripture tells us that those who belong to Him will also be raised, giving believers a hope that reaches beyond this life. The resurrection assures us that death does not have the final word, and that God’s promises extend into a future filled with life and restoration.
