Blessers Bless. Seers See

Pastor Jamie Self - 9/7/2025

In Numbers 22–24, Pastor Jamie Self highlights how God's blessing upon His people is irrevocable and visible to the world, even through unlikely vessels like Balaam and his donkey. The sermon emphasizes that spiritual vision is essential for understanding the deeper reality of God's presence and blessing amidst external threats and internal imperfections. Ultimately, believers are called to live as God's authentic, blessed community so that the world may see His glory through them.

Weekly Reflection

“God blesses His people so the world will see the Almighty.”
Even when Israel didn’t see it, God's irrevocable blessing was active—proclaimed through the mouth of a pagan prophet and seen by a terrified king. In the story of Balaam, a man hired to curse, God flips the narrative: what He blesses, no man can undo. This isn’t just ancient history—it’s spiritual reality for believers today. What if God’s presence and blessing are most clearly seen not when we feel strong, but when we stay faithful in weakness? What if the world is meant to glimpse God's glory not through our perfection, but our alignment with His presence? Like Israel camped around the tabernacle, our lives must orbit the reality of Christ at the center.
