Jesus exercises his divine authority by healing a paralyzed man and forgiving his sins, demonstrating that physical miracles point to deeper spiritual realities. The sermon highlights that Christ's mission is to make the invisible truths of the kingdom of God tangible, showing that everything in this world is ultimately about that eternal kingdom. Weekly Reflection

“Jesus's job is to help us believe… He pulls us across the bridge of belief so that we can live in this physical and understand that this is really about that”
Jesus didn’t just preach the gospel—he embodied it. He healed, cast out demons, and forgave sins not merely to alleviate suffering, but to show that the visible, physical world points to the deeper reality of the kingdom of God. The paralytic's healing wasn’t just about walking again. It was about proving that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins. That’s the miracle that matters most.
