“The dragon says worship or die, and Jesus says, worship the real thing and live forever.”
Most of us will never face a dragon at the front door. But Pastor Jamie's point cuts closer than that. The real pressure comes through the TV, through friendships, through whatever makes us feel like we belong, in the shoes we think we need before camp, the job we take to keep up the mortgage, or the tribe we quietly perform loyalty to online. The question isn't whether we'll bow to something, it's whether we'll notice what we're already bowing to.
